Will Barry Burton ever return?
Like a lot of Resident evil fans I have long wondered why Barry has been absent from the series, He appears only In the first game and then has a breif cameo at the end of Resident evil 3 asking Jill if she's ready to "finish this" meaning Umbrellas activities.
Barry was then given an epiouge at the end of RE3 where he said goodbye to his family, stating that he couldn't let his team mates down again.
However Barry has never appeared or been mentioned as being active in any anti Umbrella movements since ( The events of Resident Evil Gaiden are not cannon)
His removal from Umbrella Chronicles was also an odd move, almost like the game producers want us to forget Barry, It would of been ideal to have him be in the Umbrella's end scenarios, as it is he wasn't even featured in Resident Evil 1 chapters, a game he did have a major part in.
As of Resident Evil 5, Barry would almost certainly be nearly if not over 50 years of age, I am starting to think Barry has been lost in the Resident Evil limbo where certain characters go never to return.... --T ancalagon 08:55, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Barry Burton in Resident Evil 5
By the looks of these scans, the pistol that Barry will have seems to be his Samurai Edge (the stainless steel barrel and compensator is sort of a dead giveaway) and he might also be using a Dragunov SVD and his Silver Serpent.--DESD11 08:54, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
