  • Change "strands of hair" to "strands of hair-like filaments"; the nature of the molded indicates the strands could also be mycelial cords.
  • Remove or rewrite "it is believed that this mutation was born from a female human victim" - believed by whom? R&D Report (2 of 2) states molded are "superorganisms formed of countless mycelia." My understanding is the same as that of whoever wrote the Molded article: the fungus consumes a person's corpse and uses that mass to grow and assume an aggressive humanoid form. If someone is aware of a conflicting explanation provided in a guide book or another official material, please weigh in. The infected ending in Beggining Hour doesn't really show the protagonist "becoming a molded"; he's just infected. Maybe he's going to die. Maybe he'll become whatever the Bakers became. In other words, I'm under the impression that Molded are not analogous to zombies (infected people that became monstrous due to pathogen-induced mutations). The page implies they are. MA-124 17:02, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

"Mutated" can mean just transformed. It's how CAPCOM describe plaga hosts such as Mendéz, Salazar, Krauser and Saddler. Plaga doesn't change the host's DNA intentionally like the Progenitor-based viruses do, it just damages it.

"Mama" means mother, so yeah it's female. The Mold just mimics the host's cells and those "mimicked cells" can be controlled by the host's mind, It's how Miranda takes any form she wants.

Where did you get that about the Plaga? Viruses don't do anything "intentionally" anyway. And Mama Mold is just a name. An assumption of obviousness doesn't replace verification. Otherwise we'd still be describing Crimson Head as an intermediary stage between zombie and licker. MA-124 18:27, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

RE:4's model viewer

Viruses don't do anything "intentionally" anyway. Yes they do. They insert new genetic material into a cell, It's part of their reproductive cycle. Also there are instances of virus "hiding" from the immune system too.

"And Mama Mold is just a name." lmfao you're overthinking too much.

"An assumption of obviousness doesn't replace verification. Otherwise we'd still be describing Crimson Head as an intermediary stage between zombie and licker." no dude that's a completely different situation.

That model doesn't say anything about how the Plaga works. Where did you get the information? Nowhere? /Sure, viruses are aware and have desires and goals. Maybe they should be paying taxes as well. MA-124 19:21, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
