Nighthawk?[]

Where does the information come from that these two are one in the same? I have seen Nighthawk referred to as "Lone Wolf" on the wiki before, but never with a source. Where was Nighthawk first called "Lone Wolf?"

  • Nighthawk was first called "Lone Wolf" when Hunk called him that name.Check the Night Hawk page.-Nitsuj77 03:16, December 15, 2011 (UTC)
    • The wiki lists no source. At no point in the game or the subtitles does HUNK call him "Lone Wolf". The dialog is simply:
HUNK: "Alpha Team here. Respond."
Night Hawk: "This is Night Hawk."
and in Resident Evil 2...
HUNK: "Alpha Team. Mission accomplished."
HUNK never refers to the pilot as "Lone Wolf" in any of the games, or in his RE3 epilogue. As far as I'm aware, he doesn't refer to him as "Lone Wolf" in any of the novels either. The only source I can think of coming up with that name is maybe Archives 2, or one of the original Japanese scripts. But the article here on the Wiki doesn't suggest a source whatsoever. It just says he was called "Lone Wolf". What I want to know is where did the name Lone Wolf come from? As far as I can tell, it's purely fanon. And now there's some character in ORC called Lone Wolf, which suggest the guys at Slant Six misread the wiki and thought Lone Wolf was a real character, or that it's just a pure coincidence (highly unlikely.)
  • Hm, I didn't think developers used wikis. But yeah, I can't find an example of the term "Lone Wolf". Ah well, whether it's a coincidence or mistake, Lone Wolf is canon now, I guess. Still, there's nothing to say Lone Wolf is Night Hawk; he might be a completely different helicopter pilot.
Can anybody back this name?
"Lone Wolf" is another new character made up by Slant Six. He has no relation to the pilot who recovers HUNK. --News Bot 12:00, December 15, 2011 (UTC)
Was he made up by SSgamges? Well i dont think they've developed Umbrella Chronicles or Mercenaries 3D O: Your faithful student ,Twilight Sparkle 16:56, December 15, 2011 (UTC)
True dat. Needs less fanboism in here. Lone Wolf is a USS pilot but honestly, I think Night Hawk was a totally different person. I mean, it was Night Hawk who evacuated HUNK. Lone Wolf might be some another USS pilot. -RebornX
Didn't know he was in Mercs 3D, that's interesting. However he is not in Umbrella Chronicles or any other game in the series. --News Bot 12:20, December 16, 2011 (UTC)
Lone Wolf has been confirmed to be Night Hawk. In ORC's Heroes Mode, his profile states that his alternate code name is Night Hawk. Gimpy Tyrant 05:35, March 21, 2012 (UTC)

Lone Wolf in Mercenaries 3D? o.O[]

Where does Lone Wolf apeear in Mercenaries 3D? If not he is written under it...

Voice Only he's the pilot of the Mercenaries 3D he talks you trough the tutorial stage and after that he only talks to you before the mission and afterwards. So that's his second Voice Only apperance but his third apperance in Operation Raccoon City but this time he will be getting a visual Apperance for the first time hope that helps.

Is it just me, or does Lone Wolf kinda look like Wild Weasel from the G.I Joe cartoon?

Name Change[]

About the Name, shouldn't it be "Lone Wolf"? I know HUNK is in all-caps, but in the trailer for heroes mode LW's name is spelled "Lone Wolf".98.118.154.122 20:53, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

It's officially "LONE WOLF". It's officially capitalized the same way as HUNK. News Bot 20:54, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

Proof?[]

could someone please provide the source that says Lone Wolf was the one shot by Nicholai? I saw that cutscene, and although the chopper pilot has the same gas mask as Lone Wolf, I don't remember the pilot wearing all red. There are other people that wear that gas mask and helmet, such as a few members of alpha team. Play2often 02:39, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
