That is not justification. I've based on the titles and names presented in the files of the game, proposing a theory based on the evidence; not an anecdote.
- There are no titles presented in the game. Just awkward Japanese referring to people as the Xth generation head of the house. And I don't know what anecdotal evidence you're referring to.-- Forerunner 19:44, December 31, 2016 (UTC)
In Resident Evil 5 "Lost in Nightmares" there is a memo where appears «Lord Ashford», referencing to Edward Ashford with his title. The memo is Patrick's Diary 1. A excerpt, from the spanish version of the game:
Recuerdo como Lord Ashford, otro aristócrata de una importante familia, y uno de los compañeros de clase del Sr. Spencer, el Dr. Marucs [...]
English: Perhaps because I was the youngest person there, they would take to teasing me. Though, more often than not they would trat me as one of them. I remember the time Lord Ashford gave me my first tastew of brandy.
«Lord Ashford» is a correct style used by peers and not peers of the UK, and correspond to a marquess, earl, viscount and baron, and Lord of the Parliament.
Moreover, in Darkside Chronicles there is a memo —family Ashford— in Game of Oblivion that presents Alfred as Lord Alfred Ashford [Incorrect]:
El joven lord Alfred Ashford administra la remota isla Rockfort mientras prepara ávidamente un plan para que la dinastía Ashford vuelva a recuperar el esplendor que tenía antes de que su padre la deshonrara.
In the game, there are some references: Lord Alexander, Lady Alexia...
In conclusion, is indicative about the title, although is not specified.
