The Mercenaries (disambiguation)

The Mercenaries is a mini-game in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 3 that can be unlocked by beating the main games once. In Resident Evil 4 There are four stages and five characters in all, in Resident Evil 3 it is just one stage with three different characters.

How to Play

The player has a choice of three people: Mikhail Victor, Carlos Oliveira or Nicholai Ginovaef. The player starts off with two minutes to get to the end, and they get more time for every creature they kill. There are several people scattered through the level that are about to be killed when the player gets to them, if they are saved they drop an item and the player gets some more time.

Unlockables

When the player completes the game or dies they are given a grade and a monetary reward. The money can be built up to buy one of four different items to use in the main game: An Assault Rifle with infinite ammunition, a Gatling Gun with infinite ammunition, a Rocket Launcher with infinite ammunition or infinite ammunition for every weapon in the game.

How to Play

Each stage in The Mercenaries are large, and the controls are the same. You must kill enemies to earn points before your evac chopper arrives in the alloted time. There are also a number of enemies you can kill in a row, which will earn you more points. There is also a "Bonus Time" pick-up, which will earn you 1,000 points times the number of enemies you killed in the 30-seconds of the Bonus Time, as well as a time extension. Bosses on each Stage

Each boss is difficult to defeat, and two of them can instantly kill you, with one of them inflicting tremendous damage.

Each stage has the same enemies that are seen in the main game. Some paths in The Mercenaries, for example, the village, are blocked in the main game.

Other Unlockables

The Handcannon is available when you get a 5-star ranking for every stage as every character. It may take some practice.
