A Raccoon Dispatch article in the centre.
The Raccoon Dispatch was a newspaper published in Raccoon City. The Dispatch printed Monday to Friday, with copies selling for 75¢. On Monday, September 23, 2002, it printed a story on its front page "S.T.A.R.S. Star Suspended", a sympathetic look on the suspension of officer Jill Valentine from the Special Tactics And Rescue Squad.
Further notes[]
- This newspaper is featured as a prop in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, appearing only in the scene with Jill in her apartment.
- The actual text of the prop is verbatim unrelated to the story, with the exception of one line describing plans for a strike from Umbrella TeleSystems workers, the rest is an automatically generated mishmash of political terms, words and phrases.
- The other side of the newspaper prop is actually the front page of The Raccoon Tribune paper.
