Tokyo Game Show '97 (東京 (とうきょう)ゲームショウ'97, tōkyō gēmushou '97^?) (TGS 1997 for short) was a game show held in two parts in Tokyo, Japan in Spring and Autumn 1997.

Events[]

Resident Evil 2 appeared at the Spring while Capcom was considering a longer delay to game development. Gameplay footage was presented, but no playable demos were at the event.^[1] Resident Evil 2 was re-shown in the September event after the delay was confirmed. Alongside gameplay footage was the promotional "BIOHAZARD 2 THEATER", which showcased a leather jacket branded with the BIOHAZARD logo.^{[citation needed]}
