Tokyo Game Show '99 (
Events[]
Spring event[]
The event began Friday 19 March, though this was a closed event only for industry representatives and the press. The general audience was welcome on Saturday and Sunday, though to discourage truancy children were not admitted until the afternoon.[1] Planned events included a talk event featuring game directors, a quiz and a cosplay competition with winners picked from each booth.[2] Capcom featured a number of games at the event, including gameplay demos of Resident Evil 2 for Nintendo 64 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis as well as a trailer for Resident Evil CODE:Veronica. Capcom brought in a man dressed in a Nemesis-T02 costume who could menace visitors for promotional photographs.[3]
Autumn event[]
Capcom set up three booths for the Autumn event, themed as "Bio", "Rockman" and "Capcom", which represented games in general, children's games and merchandise, respectively.[4] This included re-shows of the three Resident Evil games featured at the Spring event,[5] as well as footage of Resident Evil Survivor.[6]
