USS Wyoming (SSBN-742) is an Ohio-class submarine designed to launch nuclear missiles. When the ancient virus spread across Europe, Wyoming was berthed at the NATO port in Gaeta. Taking advice from Dr. Dan Gibson and Lisa Martin, the Wyoming was launched and sent off to Linosa, where it was to pick up Gibson and his theorised immune girl to ensure vaccine synthesis. En route, Wyoming received a message from NATO headquarters calling for Operation: WALKING DEAD, an anti-zombie contingency where the submarine fleet would destroy India and China before the Zombies could get there. This operation was aborted when it was discovered the Black Mobies travelling around the ocean held antibodies for the virus, and a vaccine was made readily available in short time.[1]
