The Umbrella Corporation was an international conglomerate enterprise with its headquarters based in Austria.

History

Umbrella entered the military industry after researchers Drs. James and Helen Darius developed a revolutionary tissue repair method. Aware the two had conflicting ethical beliefs, the company had the two killed in a fire-related "accident", and had Dr. William Birkin assume control over their research. The resulting action was the creation of "White Umbrella" as a weapons research division.

Structure

Bio-weapons development is performed by White Umbrella, a secretive division. It also has an "Industrial Services Division", which took part in the investigation of the fire at the Spencer Mansion.
