Under Takers, or Umbrella Trashsweepers, abbreviated to UT,[1] are a form of intelligent Bio Organic Weapon produced by Umbrella Corporation by 1998. Their purpose, rather than a product for sale, was to serve Umbrella HQ in destroying incriminating evidence.

While Col. Sergei Vladimir's Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service relied upon trained human operators, the Undertaker Unit's use of these intelligent B.O.W.s made the unit far more disposable and thus suitable for top-secret missions of A+ danger class. Under Takers were led by a human operator, a B.O.W. trainer from whom they would acknowledge orders, and were trained in firearms, the MP5 being standard issue. An operation of Under Takers consisted of two phases: the elimination of all witnesses and the detonation of target areas. As an additional layer of evidence destruction, Under Takers were designed to dissolve when killed. They were also pre-programmed to self-destruct upon mission completion.[1][excerpt 1]
