ラクーンシティーの地下深くに作られた、特殊な臨床実験や薬品開発を行うための研究施設。
厳重な隔離設備を持ち、様々なレベルのウィルス実験が行える。
一般のアンブレラ職員は入ることはおろか、その存在すら知らされていない。
中でもＰ４レベル実験室は、生物災害（バイオハザード）の発生が危惧される高レベルのウィルス株などが多数扱われており、３重、４重の入退室チェック機構が備わっている。
ただ、ほぼ日常的にこうしたウィルスを実験素材として扱っているせいか、職員たちの危機意識や緊張感はやや失われがちである。
