The underground cave is a room explored in Resident Evil 6, and the focus of Leon Chapter 3-4: Underground Water Channel.
Description[]
This underground cave is a naturally occurring cavern within the mountains near Tall Oaks. From the south side a waterfall ejects cave water from the flooded Catacombs into a lake. On the north-eastern side is an opening in the cave leading outside, still high up the mountain. Successive generations of human activity has built a series of bridges to travel across the lake from south to north, with limited construction of a reinforced tunnel also present on the west. On the north side is a platform surrounded by stone columns leading out to another area.
Guide[]
If playing as Leon, the first section is in the water with Leon required to swim to the far side of the room while Helena crosses the bridges. As a large gate blocks the way Helena must open it to allow Leon through, but this will place him in the same area as the Gnezdo boss. In sequences comparable to the Del Lago boss fight of Resident Evil 4, Leon is prompted to swim faster to avoid being eaten while Helena fires at the creature to halt it. Complicating this are several C-Zombies who will grapple with Leon in the water.
When both players are out of the water, they can leave through the adjacent door to complete the boss fight, or otherwise travel back over the bridges to collect items.
