The United States National Security Council is the principal forum used by the President of the United States for consideration of national security and foreign policy matters with senior national security advisors and Cabinet officials and is part of the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
The National Security Council, from 2001 to 2005, controlled the Federal Bioterrorism Commission. NSC approval was required for any additional funding for the FBC.[1]
