Prime universe
(Capcom's primary storyline)

This unnamed truck driver was a male civilian who became a victim of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident.

Biography

When the United States Army and National Guard blockade of Raccoon City failed, civilians unaware of the t-Virus outbreak were able to drive through Arklay County unaware of its spread. While heading down a quiet and unguarded country road, he became distracted by dropping out of range of the local talk radio, and ran over an infected woman. Checking to see if she was OK, she bit him. Returning to his truck to continue his journey, he begins to lose consciousness at the wheel while entering the city, and collided with an Arklay County Sheriff's Department's cruiser, dying in the subsequent explosion.

Further notes

  • In the original Resident Evil 2, the truck driver was instead attacked at a gas station, and mutated into a zombie some time before the crash.
  • In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, he is African-American, and appears to reuse the character model of a standard Majini from Resident Evil 5.
  • The truck he is driving appears to be a Peterbuilt.
  • The female zombie struck by the unnamed truck driver in Resident Evil 2 shares its character model with Mia Winters. In this appearance, her wardrobe is modified, she sports blonde hair and a white dress shirt. This could be a subtle reference to the original Resident Evil 2, where Leon S. Kennedy's character model was reused for a zombie during the opening cinematic that shares a similar redesign to its model as Mia's had, with both getting lighter hair and a white dress shirt.
