Resident Evil 6 used the Serbian dialect of Serbo-Croatian extensively to give life to its fictional city state of Edonia.
In addition to the lines spoken by locals being in Serbian, according to a file that can be found in the game, which the BSAA Europe's department of research and development left for Piers, the scientists decided to use Serbian for the names of both the creatures and their mutations.

Latin names in brackets are the actual Serbian Latin spelling of the word. Serbian uses both Latin and Cyrillic as its official writing systems so each term has a very specific way it is spelled. Sometimes the spelling of these words was changed in the game to give the English-speaking audience a better idea of their pronunciation.
