The Capcom Showcase 2022 provided new content for Resident Evil Fans across three primary announcements. You can check out the updates from last year's showcase here.
As first announced last June, Winters' Expansion will be added to Resident Evil 8: Village via downloadable content. The expansion will feature three new game modes for players to enjoy. Resident Evil Gold Edition will include the base game and the Winters' Expansion. Both will release simultaneously on October 28, 2022.
Shadows of Rose
Shadows of Rose is an all-new story expansion for Resident Evil 8: Village!
Rose, the beloved daughter of the main protagonist Ethan, is now a grown-up main character in this new story mode. In this sequel to the main story of Village, you can experience Rose’s struggles with the terrifying powers she was born with. To break free of the curse of her powers, she enters the consciousness of the Megamycete. There, she meets a girl who looks just like her. In this mysterious realm of consciousness, time and space are warped beyond recognition. Rose is guided by a being called Michael, who might be of assistance with removing her powers. Shadows of Rose is set completely in a third-person perspective. In the realm of consciousness, Rose won't face creatures, but the world itself seems to be attacking her. How will Rose find freedom from her mysterious power?

A reimagining of the original 2005 title. Set six years after Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Leon, now an agent directly under the present, is dispatched to a small village in Europe to rescue the President’s daughter. The Los Ganados have been redesigned and the game will be presented in an even more creepy way that remains true to the original title while bringing it into the next generation. A first look at gameplay was shown that showcased Leon walking through an eery forest to the iconic house where he meets the first Ganado. Resident Evil 4 is set to release March 24, 2023.
