Village Square, or central square (中央 (ちゅうおう)広場 (ひろば), chūō hiroba), is an area in the village, as it appears in the 2023 Resident Evil 4 remake and its Separate Ways DLC.

Description

After the Hunter's Lodge, Village Square is the first area of the Valdelobos that the player will enter.

Guide

The player can go to the left side to meet a female Ganado working with her farm, which the player can train their stealth kills via the Combat Knife.

As soon as the player is spotted by a Ganado, starting the fight sequence, the player must go into the two-storey house which also contains the W-870, playing a cutscene. The player must hold out by avoiding getting killed by the villagers in a few minutes until the bell tolls, playing a cutscene where all Ganados will enter the Town Hall.

When making a return from the Village Chief's Manor with the Insignia Key, there will be a Ganado on the ridge just after the cave tunnel separating the Village Square from the manor. If players do not spot him in time or manage to get a clean kill, Comillos will spawn in this area. Killing the Ganado does not prevent the detonation of the tower next to the Town Hall. Additionally, there is a fight with a more dangerous variant of Colmillos that players can encounter should they decide to do the A Savage Mutt request.
