(Capcom's primary storyline)

The facility's name against an entrance.
The Vinci Medical Research Centre (simplified Chinese: 文西医学研究所; traditional Chinese: 文西醫學研究所; Pinyin: Wènxī yīxué yánjiū suǒ) was a facility in the Chinese city of Waiyip, Lanshiang. It was located to the west of the Poisawan slum district, as evident by a map of the city at the Waiyip Fifth Park.
History[]
The Vinci Medical Research Centre and the Quad Tower located near the slums of Poisawan China were the public façade for an illegal bioweapons research facility, overseen by Carla Radames, a senior researcher employed by The Family who later went on to become the leader of the terrorist organization Neo-Umbrella. The facility conducted research in secret on the C-virus and B.O.Ws using hundreds of civilians who were snatched from the street or otherwise lured inside.[1]
During the Lanshiang bioterror incident of 2013, agents Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans of the BSAA met American DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy and Helena Harper of the Secret Service in the medical facility as both teams were tracking Carla Radames - who at the time was masquerading as Ada Wong.
