Wasp

A wasp

Raccoon City's Wasps grew to a huge size thanks to the viral outbreak. Their mutation was mostly limited to an increase in size and general aggression, common with the simpler T-Viral infected animals.

They infested a large hive in the residence where they would attack en masse if they feel threatened. Their stings are strong enough to penetrate bone, and the venom could kill in minutes if not treated.

After returning from the Aqua Ring in Resident Evil, in one of the hallways in the Residence, Wesker can be seen during a cuscene shooting at a groups of wasps with his Beretta 92.

It is not possible to be infected by a Wasps sting. However, their poison has been enhanced by the T-virus in order to paralyse prey.

Appears in: Resident Evil (Original PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions, Deadly Silence and GameCube remake), Resident Evil Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 and Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles.
