Winding Key (何かのツマミ nanika no tsumami) is an item in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.[1]
Purpose[]
In the "Happy Birthday" tape, the Winding Key is used to activate the robotic clown.
In the main game, the Winding Key has to be ignored to progress. Picking up will cause an explosion in the room once the Candle is used on the cake resulting a gameover. It can also still be used on the clown robot to get the password, but still can only lead to a gameover.
