Further notes[]
- World Debate seems inspired by several modern political web shows that began syndication in the mid-2000s, it also bares notable visual similarity to CNN's controversial Crossfire program, which ran from 1982-2005 and utilized a similar debate format.
- Despite the episode being recorded and uploaded to a modern-style video-hosting site in 2000, it has a six hour runtime and plays through an embedded widget in a high definition 16:9 format. In the real world, this would've been extremely unusual due to hardware and bandwidth limitations (even by 2006 standards). With YouTube being founded in 2005 and not supporting longform content, widescreen resolutions or 1080p quality for roughly another four years.
