Is it okay to trust you?

Yoko Suzuki is a former Umbrella Corporation employee and a survivor of the Raccoon City outbreak. As the result of her studies, Yoko is extremely knowledgeable about computers. She has a quiet, reserved personality, but the strength of her inquisitive mind emerges with a surprising toughness.

Biography

Thumb

Born in the United States, Yoko learned of Japan through her mother.[citation needed] At some point, Yoko joined Umbrella Pharmaceutical, Inc. as an employee of Dr. William Birkin, working in his research facility eight miles outside of Raccoon City. She worked along two other scientist, Monica and Daniel, while conducting research on how the t-virus affected certain animals. Most notably was the creation of the new Hunter series that were held in the lab(only to be released during the outbreak of 1998).

In 1996, Yoko and Daniel took part in an experiment to test the effects of the t-virus, and, after a "little incident",Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag

Personality

Yoko calls herself a university student and she is very knowledgeable about computers. She has a quiet and reserved personality, but the strength of her inquisitive mind emerges with a toughness that surprises. However, once she gets hung up on something, she's a bit slow on the uptake with other things. She also seems to have a romantic relationship with Daniel and a sisterly relationship with Monica, even when held at gunpoint.

Appearance

During the Outbreak, Yoko wears a black singlet with a green long sleeved over-shirt, denim blue jeans and brown shoes, and a small black backpack

In the intro movie to the Outbreak scenario, Yoko is seen heading to the bathroom wearing glasses, an Umbrella uniform and has long hair. In her intro, she is attacked by a Zombie while cutting her hair (most likely to change her appearance).

Her alternate costumes consist of a long green dress, a Japanese gym uniform, and a swimsuit.

Inventory

Personal Item: Backpack

Yoko's Backpack lets her carry four extra items than everyone else. This can be extremely helpful during scenarios like Hellfire and Decisions, Decisions, where the player can carry a lot of things like Charlie's and Len's Tags or the Daylight samples respectively.

Extra Item (Outbreak File 2 Only): Lucky Charm

Yoko's Lucky Charm boosts her stats, and will prevent instant death from attacks that would do so normally while it is in her Inventory.

After Raccoon City

After escaping Raccoon City, Yoko suddenly regains her memory as she watches it being bombed, and goes on to testify against Umbrella in court with Linda Washington. Yoko declares that she feels fulfilled now and that there are many things she can do. Though they may be hard, she feels like she's making progress.

Trivia

  • If the player does not play as Yoko in the scenario Below Freezing Point, she will be found dead, and subsequently reanimates as a zombie.
  • At one point of Decisions, Decisions, Yoko will repeat AICP characters lines, rather than her own.
  • In Below Freezing Point, Yoko is the only character to get a Magnum Handgun.
  • She's the only AI character that would actually push on crates if commanded with just a simply "GO".
  • During the Wild Things and Desperate Times scenarios, a player could try to push the hotdog wheel stand or the broken patrol car and can ask her to help. However she'll get on a push pose but eventually will run away from there, since AI's aren't programmed to move them and the only character who will move them is Mark.
  • As stated before, she was a big part on "Decisions, Decision" . However her Outbreak #2 epilogue shows her being on court with Linda. This could be because since both of them were researchers for Umbrella, they had to testify against umbrella for their crimes. Although it's unknown since Capcom never said anything about the endings other than the 8 survivors escaping the city on time.
  • Yoko will stay close to the player, following him/her staying several feet away. She will rather defend the player (Cindy, Kevin and Alyssa players) than herself.
  • She has the lowest health in the outbreak series by just having 1300HP.
  • Yoko can be played in game with her Umbrella researcher outfit. She will spawn a health of 3000hp (unlike her 1300hp) and a faster speed.
