"Zombie Rain" was one of a number of clones the Red Queen created based on Rain Ocampo's archived DNA.
Biography
Ada and Alice encountered an Undead clone of Rain in the New York simulation. She charged them from the left, emerging from an alley and attempted to blindside Alice. Alice reacted quickly and killed the clone with a shot to the head. Alice is shocked as she recognizes her as Rain Ocampo who died years ago in the Hive. After Alice tells Ada she killed Rain, Ada explains that Alice only killed someone that looked like the Zombie Rain. Ada explains that Zombie Rain is just a clone, one of the "fifty standard models" Umbrella uses.
Wardrobe
The Undead clone Rain wears a long dark dress. Her hair is loose and seems to have a certain style.
Development
Michelle Rodriguez was rumored to reprise her role as Rain in Resident Evil: Retribution during late September.[1] Casting news was later confirmed on Twitter.[2] Unlike her other cast members, Rodriguez was cast in three roles for Rain, two of which have been dubbed "Good Rain" and "Bad Rain". The other was another civilian Rain clone who was bitten and infected by an Undead. However, the third Rain character was later removed from the film, only appearing in a deleted scene on the Resident Evil: Retribution DVD.[3]
Further Notes
- Part of the dialogue used the "Zombie Rain" scene appears in the movie when Alice discovers the body of Suburban Alice and Ada explains the Umbrella cloning program.
- In the "Zombie Rain" scene, Alice tells Ada that she killed the original Rain. This is incorrect as the original Rain was actually killed by Matt Addison.
